TriTech Titanium Parts, a leading provider of advanced titanium components, has been awarded a 2023 Powder Metallurgy Design Excellence Award.

The Powder Metallurgy Design Excellence Award, presented annually by the Powder Metallurgy Association, recognizes outstanding manufacturers in the field of powder metallurgy. The award recognizes companies that demonstrate exceptional design practices, creativity, and the effective use of powder metallurgy techniques to develop cutting-edge products.

TriTech’s Ti-6A-4V titanium alloy ring clamp was chosen as the grand prize winner within the Military/Firearms Category for Metal Injection Molding (MIM) components. MIM components are small, intricate metal parts manufactured using a specialized process that involves mixing metal powders with binder material to create feedstock that is entered into a mold. This process results in a fully dense metal component that features complex geometric designs with high precision.

The Ti-6A-4V component is used within a mounting device for a rifle magnifying scope. Utilizing two parts, an inner ring, and an outer cage, the component is utilized to secure rifle magnifying scopes to the rifle via a cantilever mount.

“This recognition is a testament to the ingenuity of our manufacturing team, as well as our commitment to providing our customers with superior titanium components,” said TriTech President Robert Swenson. “It reinforces our position as a leader in the industry and motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of powder metallurgy.”
